Congregation Shaare Emeth opened its preschool in 1964. This long legacy brings with it a history that has given us not only lessons well-learned, but graduates who now send their children to us. We are dedicated to our children and our families.
Our preschool day is designed not only to prepare our students for their transition to Kindergarten, but to surround them with their first family away from home. Through play, our children learn to become part of a loving community, underscored with a progressive learning track.
Our early childhood curriculum infuses the discovery of Jewish life into the programs at Shirlee Green Preschool. Jewish holidays play a central role in our community, from learning about traditions to creating ritual objects, to celebrating these sacred times both at school and at home. Through concrete acts and classroom culture, our students learn to become agents of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, and G’milut Chasadim, acts of loving kindness. Our preschoolers understand the importance of creating and being part of a Kehillah, a caring community. We are excited to walk with you and guide you as you begin this wonderful Jewish journey.
If you believe that our philosophy will serve you well, it would be our privilege to welcome your family to our preschool.
Shirlee Green Preschool has a long history of dedication to excellence in teaching, a reputation for adherence to best practices and an emphasis on nurturing of all our students.
